IT Project Update: Campus Print Management (final communication before removal)

Hello Titans,
This is the final communications update before the removal of non-standard desktop printers, which will occur on Friday, July 15th. This project was approved by the TCC Leadership Team as a cost savings measure.
Please see the attached email message which was sent February, April, and June of this year for reference. There is also a PDF from the June 2021 Town Hall attached as well as information at the bottom of this email which can provide background.
Teams from the IT department will be working across campus to complete the removal of our nonstandard printer inventory. As each device is removed, the team will leave a note so that you know this was done legitimately and that the device has not gone missing.

Dear Titans,
I want to give you an update regarding our Print Management efforts (see attached PDF for background). As part of the project, we have installed a fleet of 83 Canon shared Copier/Printers across campus.
The enhanced functionality of the 83 shared Copier/Printers replaces the desktop printers currently in service. We have discontinued purchases of desktop printer toner, and will remove the desktop printers as they become inoperable or existing supplies are exhausted, with full removal in Summer of 2022 regardless of operability and supply status.
We will continue to develop and offer training for support staff who may assist others in using the enhanced devices. The new system has an updated user experience. Users of our previous implementation should have little difficulty using the new system and should find it more intuitive.
