Webserver Faculty Pages

Posted: 7/18/2018 10:33:00 AM

Today, we launched the new TCC website!  Please review this message as a reminder:

Recipients of this email have been identified as someone who has or had a faculty page.  Here is an example of a faculty page: http://www.tacomacc.edu/home/vlitz/

If you don’t have a faculty page, or no longer use your faculty page, then please ignore this message.

If you do have a faculty page, here is some important information for you.

  • After the TCC’s website launch (tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, July 18th) your faculty page URL will no longer have the prefix www.  Instead it will have the prefix of cms.  For instance, if your faculty page is http://www.tacomacc.edu/home/vlitz your new page will be http://cms.tacomacc.edu/home/vlitz, the difference being the www the cms in the URL.  Please update your links accordingly to reflect the new URL prefix.

  • In the future, TCC is planning to launch a new MyTCC portal, with an unknown launch date several months out.  When the new portal is launched, the faculty pages will be deprecated and no longer available for use.

There are alternatives, and we are here to help.  Please contact eLearning (x5176) or the IT Help Desk (xHELP) to learn of other ways to publish files.  These groups will gladly assist you in the transition to an alternate method of posting your content.
