Important maintenance (and security) of College PC's

Posted: 10/25/2018 9:37:00 AM

An important notice to all employees about securing and maintaining College PCs. We ask that you shut down your computer at the end of your shift, not simply locking, logging or signing off, or letting it go into sleep mode. Restarting the PC allows installation of updates to maintain its security and stability.

Shutting down the PC at the end of your work day reduces the risk of  unauthorized access, and we count on you as a valued partner in securing our data.

We understand that although the next time you use your PC that it may take longer before you can start using it, we request that you shut off your PC at the end of your workday, or by the end of your workweek at a minimum.
